We caught an amazing EVP at the Stanley Hotel while on the Very Scary Weekend. We were investigating Room 412 with 6-7 adults and Kris Williams from TAPS. The equipment we had was a K-2 meter (the thing with all the lights)  and Erick had a digital recorder. Nothing was really going on. Maybe one light would go. Erick was on my left, Lauren (Beardslee Castle Finalist) on my right. I felt my right arm go cold, just like someone opened a window. I leaned over to Lauren, "My arm just went cold, do you feel anything?" She said, "Nooo" trying to whisper. The following was discovered after we got back home a few days later and played back the recorder:

Someone says, "Can you (meaning the "ghost") turn on the tv?"

"Would they know what a tv is?" On the recorder- a girl child voice says "uhuh?" meaning yes.

NO CHILDREN WERE IN THE ROOM!!!

"Just give us your name?"- On the recorder- a girl child  voice says, "Andalena" in the same cadence.

No other voice was heard again. But one of the Adults had a piece of candy that when placed near the K-2 meter it lit up! After speaking with Billy Ward at the Stanley, we believe we are the only ones to ever get an EVP with a name with it. He is researching the name but we are guessing at the spelling.  the little girl sounds happy like we all showed up to play with her. What is really ironic? My daughter's name is Anela (Ah-neh-lah). Very close to the name we could hear. Maybe that is why she was so close to me.  I can't wait to share it with you.
